I tried to dump the photos on my iPhone and then connected the iPhone to my iMac now without problem! Now happy to be able to import photos and videos - but I still have no idea why I had problems with importing directly from my iPad and what means the "" error - 9905. (I do not use iCloud, private photo sharing) Is there anyone who knows why I get this message? And there at - it another easy way to transfer my pictures on my iMac? Cannot find any references on this error between two Apple devices code. The import of some important new diving GoPro pictures and videos failed. Suddenly today I get the message ' error' - 9905 when importing Photos photos to my iPad (iPad 4, 64 GB, iOS 9.2.1) to Photos in my iMac (5 K, 32 GB, OS X 10.11.3 27 in.). use them and delete and with my internet speed it takes way to long to get anything done.Error-9905 when importing the iPad I can not use iCloud as I do about 200 - 300 photos a day. I have reloaded iTunes, Just updated to OS sierra from Yosemite with all updates, and rebooted computer and iPad several times. When I do plug in and select iPad I only get ghosted images that give me error if I try and upload. I do get message to trust but then nothing. (blue tooth mouse works) iPad blue tooth airdrop works to other computer. I have tried the capture app to transfer pictures (image capture core error 9912) and air drop will not stay connected to blue tooth long enough to do anything. I can just plug it in to my other mac mini and get the photos but when I plug it into iMac mid 2011 i get the same errors. I have the same problem but it is with an old iPad mini. I did also try to set up an Air Drop to manually transfer the photo files, but since I use my iPhone as a hotspot for the network, that wouldn't work.Īny ideas on what to try? I've done the closing apps and restarting, rebooting the iPhone, etc basics.ġ 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5 (i5-2467M) CPU: 2-core Unplugging the phone would clear the device list, but when plugging back in again these apps STILL say it's the first phone connected, not the second. But when I went back into Photos and iPhoto, it still showed the FIRST phone under devices, and even the same number of thumbnails pending import (again, just the outlines, not the actual photos). Within iTunes, it recognized that I was now plugging in the other phone with its correct device name. I tried switching to my work iPhone so I could get an idea whether it was the laptop or the phone causing the problem. When I told it to import, I got an error message: "Some items cannot be added to your Photo library because they may be unrecognizable file format or the file may not contain valid data." Each of the file names came up as follows: "(null) (IMG_1215.jpg)" Within the apps, it showed the correct number of pending photos for import, but only showed the outline for the thumbnails, not the photos themselves. I plugged in my iPhone via USB to my laptop, and found I could not import new photos from the camera roll on the phone to Photos, iPhoto, or Image Capture.
